OCM Foundation

The Corporal Works of Mercy, Funded Locally

OCM Foundation is the nonprofit heart of our mission. For every parish that adopts the platform, we establish a designated fund — governed by a local advisory group and funded by our profits.

Current Status

How It Works — Practically

Current Status

OCM Foundation is in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and relevant state charitable solicitation licenses.

Structure

OCM Foundation will operate as a single national 501(c)(3). Rather than creating separate legal entities in each community, the Foundation delegates fund authority to local advisory groups under the oversight of its national board. This keeps administrative costs low while ensuring that every dollar raised in a community is directed by people who know each community best.

What Triggers a Local Fund

When a parish adopts OCM, the Foundation establishes a designated fund for that community. A local advisory group — drawn from parishioners, parish leadership, and community members — guides how the fund supports the Corporal Works of Mercy locally.

Transparency

Every fund's activity is reported publicly. Parishes and donors can see exactly how foundation dollars are being used in their community.

“As water quenches a flaming fire, so almsgiving atones for sins.”
